For the past three months I have been heavily involved in bringing an art exhibition to the Swords into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery in Detroit, Michigan. My art group, WCAMI, hosts the show “The 19th Amendment at 100: Women’s Voices Then and Now.” Today is the final day for viewing the show. Thank you to all of the talented artists who have shared their voices in the exhibit–I have received many complimentary responses from attendees! I am most proud of our organization’s work to bring this show to light, commemorating the suffrage centennial.

I am an artist and teacher working with fiber, fabric, and mixed media collage. I love providing art instruction for all ages. I also teach Zentangle, a special, meditative drawing technique that focuses the mind and releases creativity. My Certified Zentangle Teacher training (2012) was made possible by a Chris Clark Fellowship award from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing. My mission is to guide others to an artFULL path.
